Only ten minutes from the beautiful city of York lies Bricknell Cottages, situated in a picturesque and peaceful village. Bricknell Cottages are just at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds and are 4 and 5 star rated luxury accommodation, with the utmost in comfort and relaxation.
The holiday cottages are a part of Pear Tree Farm, and the title of Bricknell actually comes from the world renowned Bricknell cows that used to reside in the barns which have recently been converted to the luxury accommodation you can now stay in.
Each cottage has its own name; Rubys Retreat, Ethels Escape, Peaches Place, Roxys Roost and Clover Leaf. You can read and hear about the stories behind the names when you come to stay with Bricknell Cottages.
All cottages are furnished to the highest standard and the owners have taken great pleasure and pride in designing the rooms which were with individual rustic turns during the conversion process.
All bedrooms in the cottages have en suite facilities, and some have beautiful double showers and large double ended baths. The cottages have been converted using reclaimed timber to create unique and interesting characteristics throughout the cottages. Each of the cottages has their own private landscaped area which can be used for dining outside or simply enjoying the sun.
All of the Bricknell Cottages are warm and cosy, with the two larger cottages being heated by the ground source heat pumps. This system in environmentally friendly, circulating water under the fields which collect heat from the ground to transfer it to the domestic and heating systems in the cottages. All bed linen, towels, and robes, as well as electricity, oil and logs are included in your stay. The cottage kitchens are all fully equipped, and have surround sound and flat screen TVs provided in the lounges and bedrooms. Wireless internet is also available in all cottages.
